Adrian Truss
BIOGRAPHY

Born in London England, Adrian realized, even as a baby, that British humor was lame and he would have to go elsewhere in order to have a respected career in comedy. Wasn't he surprised at the Mr. Bean, Monty Python whole success thing. Nonetheless, Adrian has been active in theatre and comedy in Toronto since 1975.
Adrian first studied theatre at Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto in addition to taking a director's workshop at the World Stage Festival. Since graduating, he's been an actor, writer, and director. Notable acting roles occurred in The Sea at the Phoenix Theatre in Toronto and four years with The Second City mainstage. He has directed Edward Bond's Lear, Pinter's The Birthday Party, Terrible Jim Fitch, The Lincoln Show and a number of shows for The Second City. Adrian has appeared in SCTV, Road To Avonlea, Wind At My back and now, SketchCom on CBC Television. Film credits include Tommy Boy and A Perfect Stranger. Adrian's manic voice capabilities have led to a number of voice over gigs with such animation giants as Nelvana Limited and Walt Disney. Animation credits include Rollie, Pollie and Ollie, Donkey Kong and The Never Ending Story.
Adrian continues his writing for the stage with his new play Dragonhead about the troubled life of a teenage killer. You could say it has a slightly different flavor than animation voice work and absurd comedy.
