Richard Ryder

BIOGRAPHY

Toronto native Richard Ryder began his career by studying acting at The Toronto High School for the Performing Arts. This quick witted performer quickly became one of the youngest cast members of Theatresports, Toronto's improvisational theatre company, performing alongside such comedy greats as The Kids In The Hall and Waiting For Guffman star Linda Kash. Richard continued his improv training at Second City where he decided to take his finely honed ability to think fast on his feet into the wonderful world of stand up comedy, where he’s been ever since. A regular performer at such comedy clubs as Yuk Yuks, The Laugh Resort and the legendary ALTdotComedy Lounge, Richard also co-produces and hosts The Upstairs Show, a new, wildly successful, Cabbagetown comedy room. Richard's film and TV credits include: Undercover Brother with SNLs Chris Kattan, Disney's The Scream Team with Eric Idle and Zoe Busiek, Wild Card.
