Marsha Mason
BIOGRAPHY

Marsha is a Toronto based actor who decided that performing would be the life for her at a very young age. She was promptly cast in a number of boys’ roles. After university, she played the lead in a number of shows upon moving to the Big Smoke, including
“How Can I Get an Apartment Without a Job? (And Vice Versa)” and
“Payin’ Off the Student Loan with a BFA”. Although necessary, she was glad to leave them behind, and it was then she became mixed up with
Second City. Marsha has been both a swing and understudy for the
Touring Company, as well as being a part of the first cast of
Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding. She then moved to working as a host and caller for an OLGC show out of the second floor studio of
Stuart Broadcasting. Marsha has played various summer stock theatres around Ontario, including 3 years at
Theatre Collingwood, where the role of Hilary in The Bells of Larkspur was written specifically with her in mind by Canadian playwright Dan Needles, winner of the 2003 Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour, and author of the popular Wingfield Farm series. She has also appeared in
A George Canyon Christmas and can be seen in episode seven of the new CTV series
Jeff Ltd. Marsha holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Windsor, and has studied acting with Uta Hagen, Ken Gass, Richard McMillan and Jeff Seymour.
